Our business of provisioning live video systems for online viewing and marketing was created out of a brief meeting in 1995 on a remote beach in southern Costa Rica. The meeting lasted only about 10 minutes, however what was discussed remains the basis of what HD Relay is today. At the time the concept of using networked computers over the web to view and relay beaches, tourism, action sports events and places of interest was discussed in detail and the vision of what live content could be was created. In 1995 we were missing a few key pieces -- the video technology and network to deliver it. By 1998 we launched one of the first live 320x280 user controllable 10 fps pan tilt zoom self contained camera in the western United States, overseeing a popular beach in San Diego, CA.
